We have just finished hosting the level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training at Centre for Life on the Gold Coast. With over twenty-five participants and a teacher training team of six, we held one of the largest teacher training cohorts in Australia.
Enthusiastic students flocked from as far as Tasmania, Adelaide, and Melbourne to participate in this first-time event for the Queensland region.
Three full weeks spread over a six month training period saw significant transformations occur amongst the students. The students certainly earned it with taking to the mat at 4:30 am for sadhana, and finishing at 6 pm every single day for seven days straight. The level of commitment & participation was exceptional.
It was humbling to witness the devotion of the community that formed during the training. Many of the Gold Coast participants opened their homes and hearts to those travel from interstate providing food, shelter & comfort to those from afar. The Kundalini Yoga culture has a well-known reputation towards offering hospitality to travelers. You will always have somewhere inviting to stay no matter where you are in the world when you are part of this growing global community.
The teacher training was complete with most participants graduating to a "KRI certified level 1 Kundalini Yoga Instructor". The qualification is more than just the knowledge gained; it was the personal and profound transformations that occurred within each student.
Witnessing the students shine in their eyes, open hearts and big smiles, was a very satisfying experience. The elevation of consciousness that exists after such profound internal work is a blessing to observe. Each of these students can now take this transformation and become a brighter beacon of light for others.
