"I travel one hour each direction to attend a Kundalini Yoga class at Centre for Life. I have been doing every week for many years now as it enriches my soul."
Looking back at my life before beginning Kundalini Yoga, I can see I was on autopilot. I had no personal power, direction or drive. However, there was something alive within me that was seeking a style of yoga that would help me shift. I had practiced many of the more common styles through videos I watched at home, and I committed to an 8 week Pranayama Yoga course at Tafe. These styles were helpful and I enjoyed them at the time, but I found Kundalini Yoga to be the complete package. It enabled me to break-through old patterns and limitations.
I knew right from the very start that Kundalini Yoga was the answer for me. After my first experience of the first class, I felt like I was walking on air. I had never felt this way after a yoga class before. From that point forward, I never felt satisfied practicing the other styles of yoga which motivated me to make the time to pursue Kundalini Yoga as my primary practice.
I travel one hour each direction to attend a Kundalini Yoga class at Centre for Life. I have been doing this every week for many years now as class enriches my soul. It is a time when I sit on the mat and build a relationship to my Self. Afterwards, it is a time when I can connect with others in the community who are open and supportive.
When i am not in class, I listen to mantra and chant. I do this while I am working and driving. The sound current has transformed my mental and emotional state significantly. I have more calmness, compassion and can connect with others now that I'm not so caught up in my own dramas.
I have recently completed the Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training at Centre for Life. I have started teaching classes in my home town and it is an honour to help uplift another and witness their light begin to shine brighter.
